The Business Community @ Glan Afan is now open!

We’re thrilled to announce that our new business centre is now open, and you’re invited to our upcoming open day!

Viva Port Talbot and The Business Community @ Afan will be hosting an open day at our new state of the art business centre on Station Road (the old Glan Afan Comprehensive School) on Thursday 14th July from 10am – 4pm.

The open day will provide you with an opportunity to come and view the centre and provide feedback to the Centre Manager, Laura Jenkins, and BID Manager Mandy Jenkins on what you would like to get from the centre and how you think it should be used.

We will also have businesses in our test trading pod selling their products, including pre-loved wedding fashion, personalised gifts, and Body Shop products.

The Centre will be officially opened at 3pm with key speeches from Stephen Kinnock MP and Centre Manager Laura Jenkins. We look forward to seeing you there!

Test trading pod
Our spacious test trading pod will allow a handful of start-ups and small businesses to test out what it’s like to trade in Port Talbot town centre. The space includes access to electricity and display furniture, and costs just £10 per day in our first three months. Know someone looking for a space, or perhaps fancy it yourself? Co-working space and board room

Events and workshops
We have plenty of events lined up to get the ball rolling in the Business Community. Up first, we have Superfast Business Wales joining us on Wednesday 29th June for their Promote Your Business Online workshop, on from 10am to 12pm. This workshop is available for free to all trading businesses, so if you’re interested please do register here!
